MacA’s answer is a good one, for the oil I’d reccommend glory hole menhaden/pogy fish oil. Think I got mine at bass pro. Here’s another idea that works and not too expensive. Buy some cheap pasta, tiny stars or elbos. After cooked, keep it in a large coffee can or zip lock and coat it with the fish oil. Scatter in area where you are fishing.The fish are drawn by the scent and will find your bait. If you have yellowtail snapper where you are, do same thing but use dry quaker oats and make a slop with water mixing in some of the oil. The tails will come guaranteed. Tight lines to you.
